touch grass ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed to help friends stay connected with minimal screen time. we take your privacy seriously and collect only what's necessary to make the app work.

account info: email or phone number for login
profile info: display name (optional)
proof of life content: your weekly text answers and photos
friends: who you're connected with

how we use your data

to show your posts to your friends
to send you notifications about weekly reveals
to maintain your personal life archive

we do NOT sell your data. we do NOT show ads. we do NOT use your content for AI training.

data retention

your posts: stored permanently in your personal archive
others' posts: visible for 7 days, then removed from your view
photos: stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare R2)

third-party services

we use:

Cloudflare: hosting and image storage
push notifications: to remind you about your proof of life and reveals

your rights

you can:

delete your account and all data at any time
remove friends
control notification preferences
